Get Involved

We are always looking for volunteers to help out on event days and for gardening sessions. You can also support the work of the Friends by becoming a member – it’s only £10 per year, per household, and you’ll receive a quarterly newsletter with all the latest news and information on forthcoming events. Membership runs annually from May each year but you are welcome to join at any time!

ENTER THE HARROW WINS LOTTERY

Enter the Harrow Wins weekly draw (operated on behalf of Harrow Council) and nominate the Friends of Canons Park as your chosen ’cause’.  For every £1 ticket that you purchase, the Friends receive 50p and that soon mounts up if you create a direct debit to enter the draw every week.  Your could be in the running for a cash prize or even the jackpot of £25,000! SPEND ONLINE WITH OVER 8000 BRANDS AND EARN CASH FOR THE FRIENDS

The Friends of Canons Park have joined “easyfundraising”, an exciting fundraising initiative, which could bring us in much-needed funds for Canons Park without costing our supporters a penny extra on their shopping!  If you register for this scheme, choose to support the Friends of Canons Park, and shop at Tesco, Sainsburys, Waitrose or any of the 8000+ linked brands such as Boots, Next, eBay, Just Eat, John Lewis and Argos, they will generate a commission that is split between the retailer and the Friends of Canons Park.  These purchases can be made online but some retailers will allow you to link your debit or credit card to your easyfundraising account via the App, so that you can shop instore as well.
The scheme has been running for a number of years and has already bought in millions of pounds in donations to charities and voluntary groups such as ours, so we don’t want to miss out!  The funds will be used to purchase plants, bulbs and shrubs for the Memorial Garden and, if possible further out into the park. 
The set up for the scheme means you will need to download the App from Apple App Store or Google Play and nominate the park as your chosen ’cause’. Every time you shop at one of the stores in the scheme it will register your purchase and update your donation history a little while later.
